Dive in to the glass for an exploration of the senses. What do we talk about when we talk about wine? Beyond the pile of adjectives (juicy, buttery, fruity etc.), the way we explain aromas and flavors contributes to both evaluation and appreciation of wine and everything else you can swallow or inhale. Along the way, you’ll acquire background knowledge of grapes, regions, and winemaking methods and you'll get better at picking the perfect bottle or planning your next winery visit, but we will be tasting wines and talking about them in more lyrical terms than technical. This is an opportunity for both novice and experienced tasters to evaluate the way you savor, both the method and the explanation. Several different wines each class, and we’ll apply your knowledge at the final class meeting--a trip to a local winery! A stimulating, interactive class. You must be 21 years or older to attend this class.  Bring your valid picture i.d. to the first class, please.
