This course will prepare you for an entry level dental sterization technician position.  The online course will include the role of immunizations, personal protective equipment, hand hygiene, disinfection, sterilization, and environmental infection control procedures. Lab and clinical experiences apply principles and policies to prevent transmission of disease.  Labs include: infection control strategies, hand hygiene, PPE use, treatment room turn around, management of reprocessing center, beginning and end of day protocols, application of OSHA regulations, biological monitoring and waterline management. Student must be age 18,have proof of immunizations required for a health care professional in the state of Oregon; wear scrubs to labs and clinical, bilingual students welcomed,   textbook is required.
