This is the fifth in a series introducing the structure and function of the human body as well as disorders, diseases and conditions to which we adapt. Included are conditions as well as indications and contraindications for conditions common in massage therapy.
We will focus on digestion, nutrition, metabolism, endocrine, urinary and the reproductive systems in this section of anatomy, physiology, and pathology. With our further study into anatomical knowledge, we deepen our ability to accommodate each client and to communicate successfully with clients about pathologies, client’s needs and to effectively evaluate and execute the safest and most beneficial techniques, including working with special populations. Explore how to improve your client’s physical, spiritual, and emotional balance through therapeutic massage involving these vital body systems. We have the same required texts as used for A/P/P I, II, and III. Students must successfully complete A/P/P I, II and III before taking this course.
