We will use training materials from the UCAR/COMET/MetEd program (, developed by and for professionals who use meteorological and climatological information in their jobs, and we've used these for teachers and introductory audiences successfully for many years. With this course, teachers will enhance their ability to understand and teach the science of climate and climate change. An advanced unit will follow in a subsequent term that will take participants through a workshop that facilitates understanding of climate models, and differences between weather forecasts and climate projections.
