The Adult Continuing Education Series is pleased to present a 3-class seminar "How Healthy is Healthcare?" The first session will focus on recently passed or pending legislation and possible policy implications. This session is intended to be a big picture, macro-type view of the healthcare landscape. Week two will focus on the specific impacts of such legislation on local providers and users. We will explore how healthcare providers and users in communities throughout Oregon will be affected and will discuss policy changes that need to be made and what these changes imply for providers’ practices as well as consumers of healthcare. The final session will wrap up our larger discussions and focus on specific impacts of such legislation on long-term care. Each session will have three to four presenters, including Arnie Roblan, Jay Bozievich, a specialist on healthcare issues from Peter DeFazio’s office, representatives from Healthcare for All Oregon, a specialist in long-term care policies and a guest from the Oregon Insurance Commission’s advocacy team. Several physicians will also add to the conversation.
