ClassGraphic Examine what you know – or what you thought you knew – about American History in this interactive discussion class based on The Great Courses DVD lectures presented by Dr. Mark Stoler, an American history scholar and professor emeritus at the University of Vermont. Stoler breaks down common myths and half-truths about our country’s history and the subjectivity of those who documented the narrative of US events. Each class includes interactive discussion periods where we will discuss key points and questions raised in the video lectures. This third class in the series will address key topics from the Roaring ‘20s to the early 2000s, such as revisiting the Great Depression and New Deal, WWII misconceptions and myths, and the real blunders in the Vietnam War.
