Business Writing: Developing Written Communication Skills

This course offers students the opportunity to learn, review and practice clear communication through writing. Topics and style are centered around written communication in a professional business environment. Assignments are structured to offer practice in writing for business development, including proposals, vision and mission development, problem and solution models, and analytics. Students will learn to write in conformity with professional conventions that serve to integrate their knowledge and experience in an ethically responsible way through effective communication. The structure of each class will include instruction by short lecture, audio/visual examples, small group interaction, timed writing exercises and peer edit review. Recommended that student has a clear grasp of English composition and grammar.
