This intermediate level class develops the student's awareness of modern dance technique and vocabulary. Training emphasizes movement sequences that incorporate: three-dimensional use of the spine and torso, joint articulation and mobility, core strength, expressivity and spatial awareness. Students will deepen their understanding of these concepts while developing sophisticated connections both in the body and in relation to space. Students explore alignment, breathing, body awareness and function as it relates to overall health and injury prevention. No Class Jan 15 and Feb 19, 2018.
